The Parent-Child Home Program Jeffco is a special initiative of the Jeffco Schools Foundation in partnership with the Jeffco Public Schools Early Learning team. PCHP Jeffco's mission is to positively impact school readiness and long-term learning for 2- and 3-year-old children by empowering parents as their first teacher.

Home visitors, who are early literacy specialists, meet with families twice weekly, 30 minutes each time. The visitors model reading, playing, and conversation activities. Each week the family receives new related book or toy. The focus is that, the children:

  • Develop the cognitive and social-emotional skills for school success.
  • Are 50% less likely to need special education classes. Perform at or above state and
  • national norms throughout elementary and middle school.
  • Graduate from high school at the expected rate.

Families who are interested in enrolling may contact Susan Reichert, PCHP coordinator, at 303-982-8736.
