Updates to the 2022-23 District Calendar

As a result of the negotiations between the district and our teachers’ association last month, there will be additional non-student contact days during the current 2022-23 school year for elementary and K-8 schools as well as 2-hour delays for all schools to provide additional teacher professional time.

Jeffco Public Schools State Test Results Released for the 2021-22 School Year

Colorado Department of Education's state test results for the 2021-22 school year were released, on August 17, 2022. Jeffco Public Schools students outperformed the state in students who met/exceeded test expectations for all grade levels in CMAS English language arts and mathematics. School Meals for 2022-23

During the last two years, Jeffco Public Schools has been able to provide free, nutritious meals to our students due to the USDA waivers associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time, waivers have not been extended and we will return to a more traditional service for the 2022-23 school year.

Thank you to Gov. Polis for visiting classrooms at Leawood Elementary School on April 21 to celebrate the school’s Read-a-Thon. Students lined the sidewalks outside the school holding welcome signs as the governor ran from his car to greet them, high-fiving and signing posters on his way inside!

Marshdale Beam Goes Up
Marking a major construction milestone

Even with cold and snowy conditions, the weather was no match for the Marshdale community, who all gathered outside to watch the final beam go into place. The community is eagerly looking forward to the completion of their new school, which is being built right next to their current facility. Once complete, the new building will have the capacity to serve up to 380 students with a separate preschool facility, as a maker space, commercial-grade kitchen, large turf field, and interactive playground.
