Student Accident Insurance

Parents of Jefferson County School District students have the opportunity to purchase Student Accident, Athletic, and Dental Insurance coverage for their children. The plan is serviced by K&K Insurance Group, Inc. Should the parent(s) have other medical insurance on their child, the At-School Accident and 24-Hour Accident plans will help cover deductibles and co-payments.

Please be advised that the school District does not carry insurance for students, beyond any legal liability of the District. The District will not pay for medical expenses incurred as a result of any injury sustained by a student. The District's legal liability for school related injuries are limited by the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act.

Please be aware that Jefferson County School District has no interest, right, or does not warranty this insurance product.

If parents desire this insurance coverage, they should follow directions for enrollment and payment listed in the attachments above or enroll online at: www.studentinsurance-kk.com

These plans include a simplified claims procedure whereby the claim form is submitted directly to the K&K Insurance Group, Inc. for consideration and payment. Claim forms can be obtained from the K&K Insurance Group, Inc. web site at: http://www.kandkinsurance.com/sites/K12Voluntary/Pages/Claims.aspx or by calling the K&K Insurance Group, Inc. Claims Department directly at 1-800-237-2917.
